Downsville Days American Girl Doll event portraits (8/22/09).

We had a good turn out for the first event of this kind, and hope to have even more next year. There was a great group of people that turned out, and as can be seen - some great looking young ladies with their dolls.

Special thanks to the Menomonie Theater Guild ladies for showing up in full Caddie Woodlawn costumes. Looking forward to your performance in September.

There be Gypsys.....alive and well roaming the Wisconsin Countryside.

Chris Winers has been known to host regular gypsy gatherings - particularly Madame Lanita - rumored to be older then the 1916 Barn that she frequents, but barely looking a day over 29.....

A great time for all involved. Theatrical performances, summer drama camps, spooky stories at Halloween, improvosation -and always a good laugh. A great way to spend an evenening or afternoon. As Chris herself has said - "there is something magical about old barns" And hers is just incredible. Amazing restoration work, beautiful stage and a place to make all believe that magic does exist...

This photo shoot was a last minute idea, and no flash was used. Most of these images would not make good prints because of the dark theater setting, causing some amount of blur. However, new photos coming with the use of flash - beter for print quality. I just had to post some of these to give the Paper Cow Theater a plug. One of my favorite ways to be entertained....
